Bourg les Valence
Today was an incredibly hot day from Sisteron to Bourg Les Valence. The peloton finished in a sprint with Mark Cavendish taking the stage.
Some not so nice French fans booed him as he was being escorted to the podium.
On stage together today were Jeannie Longo and Bernard Hinault. I hadn’t photographed them together since the 1986 Coors Classic in Boulder, Colorado.
Andy Schleck is still in the yellow jersey. Alberto Contador is 41 seconds behind.
