Team Argos-Shimano has finalized their selections for the upcoming season. The men’s team has a total of 28 riders, while the women’s team will in 2013 consist out of ten riders.
Reinardt Janse van Rensburg is the most notable newcomer. The 23-year-old South African is a good sprinter and time trialist and also has the ability to do well in a classic race. Last season he won nineteen races, including the Tour du Maroc, the Tour of Overijssel and the Tour de Bretagne. In the person of Warren Barguil the team has attracted another great talent. In September the 20-year-old Frenchman won the Tour de l’Avenir.
The other acquisitions are Luka Mezgec, Francois Parisien, Tom Peterson, Georg Preidler, Will Clarke, Jonas Ahlstrand and Nikias Arndt.
The team management is satisfied with the selections for next season. The reinforcements are a combination of talented riders who possess the various aspects of road cycling and experienced riders who want develop themselves further.
