2014 Spanish Worlds Guaranteed Against Austerty

The 2014 World Cycling Championships are set to take place in Ponferrada, Spain. But because of austerity measures, there has been concern.  Millions of euros are due to the UCI by October 31.  Ponferrada mayor Carlos Lopez Riesco has said that it won’t be a problem.  There will also be around 800,000 additional euros that will be paid sometime next year from the region.
