Astana Pro Team announces partnership with Wolfpack Tires

Astana Pro Team is happy to announce the collaboration with the German tire manufacturer Wolfpack Tires. Wolfpack Tires will become the official tire supplier of Astana Pro Team.

– Wolfpack Tires is a small company, but despite being small, it brings vast experience in tire manufacturing to cycling. For more than a decade, Wolfpack Tires founder, Wolfgang Arenz, has worked in research and development with major tire companies and their suppliers. In 2018 we already had the chance to try their products and I can say we were more than satisfied with the quality and riding characteristics. Wolfpack Tires showed themselves to be excellent in all kind of weather and road conditions throughout many races, including the Grand tours, so beginning with the 2019 season we are happy to announce our official collaboration with this company, – said Alexandr Vinokurov, the general manager of Astana Pro Team.

Wolfpack Tires is a new company, founded by Wolfgang Arenz. Since 2005 Arenz has been developing tires for major manufacturers around the globe; he is the mastermind behind undisputed benchmark tires and their rubber compounds. With his own brand, Wolfpack Tires, Wolfgang aims to develop and build the best bicycle tires in the world, the fastest, best gripping and safest tires. The key development behind their performance is the revolutionary ToGuard compound paired with the smoothest carcasses currently available. Astana Pro Team will become the first UCI WorldTour team having Wolfpack Tires™ as their official tire supplier.

– It is no secret that we have been working with Astana Pro Team for quite some months already. It was a trial period for both of us, as we wanted to demonstrate our potential while the team wanted to try our products in all kind of terrains and weather conditions. I think, both parties are very happy with the results. On our tires Astana riders achieved some solid results. I am very excited to begin the official collaboration with Astana Pro Team, perhaps the best professional team in the world. I am looking forward to provide the team with the best tires we can produce to achieve still better results in the future even outperforming the super successful 2018 season, – said Wolfgang Arenz, CEO and founder of Wolfpack Tires.
