Alexander Kristoff on the podium again at Tour of Flanders

After the Gent-Wevelgem success, the UAE-Team Emirates’ Norwegian claimed a prestigious third place in the “Ronde”, confirming his status as Northern Classics specialist.

Alexander Kristoff’s cobbles season continues in style: after triumphing at Gent-Wevelgem last Sunday, the UAE Team Emirates rider brought his Northwave Extreme Pro on Tour of Flanders’ podium, claiming a prestigious third place in Oudenaarde (Belgium) on Sunday April 7th.

Kristoff crossed the finish line behind the solo winner, Italian Alberto Bettiol, and his first pursuer, Dane Kasper Asgreen. The 2017 European Champion won the sprint for third place among the elite riders, preceding Mathieu Van der Poel and Nils Politt.

Winner of the “Ronde” in 2015, Alexander Kristoff confirmed his status as leading cobbles Classics specialist. Next week, the 31-year-old rider born in Oslo will target the third Monument of his career, Paris-Roubaix.
