In compliance with the extraordinary measures adopted by the Italian Government for the containment of the COVID-19 outbreak and the UCI provisions, Internazionali d’Italia Series’ stage 3 has been postponed
CM Outdoor Events, organizing company of Internazionali d’Italia Series and Trofeo Città di Verona, announces that the first edition of the event, scheduled on April 18-19 in Verona, has been postponed, in compliance with the extraordinary measures adopted by the Italian Government for the containment of the COVID-19 outbreak and the provisions of the International Cycling Union (UCI).
With the official release of March 15th, 2020, the International Cycling Union ordered the cancellation of all the international cycling events in territories identified at risk by the World Health Organization.
“This is a critical juncture for all of us – CM Outdoor Events’ Michele Mondini and Luca Carton explained. – Public health and safety must take priority over anything else. Unfortunately, we acknowledged the impossibility to organize the race on the planned date. Even in the event of a significant and quick improvement of the emergency, the compliance with the Governamental provisions would not allow us to take the necessary action to set up the course in due time for the race to take place according to plan”.
In agreement with the local authorities, CM Outdoor Events will evaluate the opportunity of requesting a new date in the 2020 calendar.
