2020 Tour of Flanders

Wout Van Aert off the front

Wout Van Aert grazed another prestigious result in this incredible season with the second place at Tour of Flanders, 234,3 km from Antwerpen to Oudenaarde, Belgium, on Sunday October 18th, 2020. After the successes of Strade Bianche and Milan-Sanremo, the Belgian rider was protagonist of the decisive action with eventual winner Mathieu Van der Poel, taking second place in a close two-way sprint to the line.

Van der Poel win

The Ronde’s result means that Bianchi and Oltre XR4 have finished in the top-2 of all the four Monuments raced this season – winning Milan-Sanremo with Van Aert and Liège-Bastogne-Liège with Primoz Roglic and ending second with Bennett at Il Lombardia and Van Aert at Flanders – as well as at the World Championships with Van Aert himself.

Wout Van Aert’s Oltre XR4 features the Bianchi CV system that enhances handling control by cancelling up to 80% of road vibrations thanks to a unique composite material integrated into Bianchi’s high-performance carbon frames and forks. The advantages for the riders are increased control, less muscle fatigue and, ultimately, more energy available at the crucial moment: all crucial assets in long and tough races on uneven surfaces like the cobbles of the Tour of Flanders.
