Stage 5 Annonay – Vallon-Pont d’Arc
Jeremy Roy excaped early in the day with Tony Martin and Thomas Voeckler. They stayed ahead of the peloton all day and at one point had a 6’35” minute advantage. They maintained their lead over all the mountains in today’s stage. Jeremy Roy managed to outsprint his rivals to win the stage. The peloton finished 2 minutes behind with Chavanel retaining the yellow jersey and Contador still 36 seconds behind.
