The Morgul Bismark stage of the old Coors Bicycle Classic was reincarnated today as part of the inaugural Superior-Morgul Race. This was the first year of the race which consisted of street sprints Friday night in Superior as well as a criterium on Saturday. Today was the Morgul Bismark race which ran the same route as its namesake. Even Michael Aisner was there doing some announcing and filling the spectators in on the old winners of the stage like Chris Carmichael, Davis Phinney, Alexi Grewal and Connie Carpenter. Even Eddy Merckx and Kevin Costner rode their bikes here.
Mens peloton on Morgul Bismark course. They did 6 laps of the grueling course. Benjamin Blauglund and Jason were in a two man break on the last lap which ended up Benjamin winning the stage.
