According to the New York Times, it has been confirmed that plastic was found in the urine test from Contador. This supposedly suggests that a blood transfusion was made as it conforms to the plastic bags used to hold the blood. The amount found is still way too small to be considered doping by the international rules. In any case, it’s been enough to destroy his reputation.

Contador has said that he has been contemplating quitting the sport but hopes it doesn’t come to that. He’s sad over the accusations and just wants transparency and the truth to come out.
Alberto has tested positive. Traces of the banned steroid were found in the July 21 Tour de France doping test. According to AP, the amount found was 400 times less than the amount the doping labs must be able to detect. The A and B samples were both positive. The team is claiming the positive test came from food contamination. Contador’s publicist claims that the experts they’ve consulted agree. Clenbuterol is the drug that was detected. He has been temporarily suspending by cycling’s governing body.
