Here are some details as of today for the 2012 routes.
Stage 1 : Durango to Telluride over Lizard Head Pass (10,222′) for 111 miles.
Stage 2 : Montrose to Crested Butte
Stage 3 : Gunnison into Aspen over Cottonwood (12,126′) and Independence (12,095′) Passes, the same 131 mile route as 2011
Stage 4 : Aspen to Beaver Creek. Back over Independence Pass, into Leadville, through Minturn and up to Beaver Creek in 102 miles
Stage 5 : Breckenridge to Colorado Springs over Hoosier Pass (11,532′). The route might go on Hwy 9 to Hartsel and through Woodland Park before reaching the Springs.
Stage 6 : Golden to Boulder via Peak to Peak Hwy, through Nederland and Ward and then down through Lefthand Canyon into Boulder, 61 miles.
Stage 7 : Denver. This is expected to be a time trial
