If you’re in the Austin area, now’s the time to get over to Rocky Hill Ranch and check out the course – it’s already marked. Just be sure to check trail conditions before you go. And if you can’t make it to the ranch, we’ve posted a course preview to get you stoked. We’ve got a pre-ride with Dave Wiens scheduled for the day before the race. Solo and two-person or four-person relay team spots are still available. Gather all those friends with bikes, get everyone you know registered, make travel arrangements, do whatever you have to do to get to Austin for a fun-filled day of fast-and-furious riding.
Strava Segment Challenge: Compete for Your Chance to Become a Leadville Legend
For those gunning to qualify for this year’s Leadville Trail 100, we’ve layered on yet another level of competition to motivate you. To be revealed soon, Strava has identified a specific segment within each Leadville qualifying race on which racers can compete. The fastest male and female on the Strava segment leaderboard, (should they complete the race in qualifying time), will earn themselves a coveted spot at the Leadville Trail 100 VIP corral on race day.
In addition to earning major bragging rates and a leg-up at Leadville, each Segment Challenge KOM and QOM will earn a Strava Castelli jersey and a 1 Year Strava Premium membership. To be eligible to win, create a free account on Strava, record and upload your ride data to Strava within 48 hours of the race.
