Ulissi captains team in south of France
Gp La Marseillaise – Thursday 27 January, 2022
UAE Team Emirates will kick-off the new year with their first races on French soil with the Grand Prix Cycliste la Marseillaise [1.1] on 30 January followed by the Etoile de Bessèges (2.1) from 2-6 February.
The team for GP Cycliste la Marseillaise will be led by Sports Director Fabrizio Guidi (Ita) while for Etoile de Bessèges he will be joined by Aart Vierhourten (Ned).
Ulissi: “We’re excited to finally get the season underway.
We had a really good team training camp in Spain earlier this month and the atmosphere is great.
We’re all healthy and ready which is the main thing , now we’re just eager to pin on a number and race.
For the flatter days racing we have Ackermann who is very fast , while I’ll hope to show myself on the hillier stages , but we have a strong team full of different options.”
