UAE Team Emirates teams announced for Valenciana, Murcia and Almería

Mix of youth and experience for Spanish trio of races

Clasica Almeria| Volta Valenciana| Vuelta a Murcia – Tuesday 1 February, 2022

UAE Team Emirates will aim to continue the strong start to the season in search of further victories at the Vuelta Valenciana (2.Pro) 2-6 Feb , the Vuelta Murcia (1.1) on 12 Feb, and the Clasica Almería (1.Pro) on 13 Feb.

The team takes a balance of climbers and sprinters to each race, with new signings and veterans together to form exciting teams across the board.

Team Manager Joxean Matxin Fernandez will lead the team in Vuelta Valenciana, being joined by Sports Director Manuele Mori (Ita), with Mori taking the role of lone DS for Murcia and Almeria.

Matxin : “ We started the year with a victory which we were obviously very pleased with, but also the attitude and attacking mentality the team has showed in the first races has been fantastic and something we are proud of.

In Valenciana we will count on experienced guys to show the younger ones, with Soler and Ayuso our men for the climbs and then naturally look towards Molano, Trentin and Gibbons in the flatter stages. Polanc is coming back from illness but will aim to find his legs.

Young Juan Ayuso is racing on home roads and is really motivated and excited as you can imagine. What can he do? We believe in his talent and only ask him to try his best. He is 19 years old and it’s important to enjoy and learn still in some of his first professional races.”
