Alan Boileau Imperial At Mount Kigali

Young Frenchman Alan Boileau of the B&B Hotels-KTM team today won the 7th and penultimate stage of the Tour of Rwanda at the top of Mount Kigali where his teammate Pierre Rolland won last year.
This is his 4th stage victory on the roads of Rwanda, after his three successes in 2021. Today, he achieved a magnificent feat on the slopes of one of the most remarkable hills in the capital of Rwanda where will hold the world championships in 2025, for the first time on the African continent.

He waited the last 500 meters to attack the hardest section with an average of 17%, when the Israeli Omer Goldstein (Israel-Premier Tech) thought he had already won after attacking just before the climb. Before the last stage tomorrow, the young Colombian is 26” ahead of Anatolii Budiak, 49” over Jesse Ewart and 58” over Angel Madrazo.
