Because of a heavy crash yesterday on Stage 16 nearing the finish, Primo Roglic did not start the race today. He was just 1:26 minutes behind Evenepoel. He also had to withdraw from the Tour de France in July because of a crash the first week. He had been gaining time on Evenepoel this past week.
“To me, it looks like more than eight seconds, these injuries,” said Directeur Sportif Addy Engels upon examing Roglic.
