Arctic Race Of Norway 2023:18 Teams To Compete In The Tenth Edition

Key points:

· Eight Tour de France teams will be at the start of the tenth edition of the Arctic Race of Norway from 17 to 20 August.
· Team DSM, holders of the title with Andreas Leknessund, the Cofidis team which won the points classification and the Human Powered Health team which won the best climber jersey will be competing.
· The recent Swiss team Q36.5, the American squad Trek – Segafredo, the French continental team Groupama – FDJ and the Spanish team Kern Pharma will be making their debut on the Norwegian roads.

A decade of existence and a return to the roots for this 2023 edition of the Arctic Race of Norway. From 17 to 20 August, the riders will take on the roads of the Arctic Circle on their way to North Cape. The 18-team field will include 8 of the teams that took part in the Tour de France in July.

Three Norwegian teams, Coop-Repsol, Uno-X Pro Cycling, which will be making its debut on the roads of the Grande Boucle in a few weeks, and the Norwegian national team will be at the start in Kautokeino. There is no doubt that they will be keen to shine on the spectacular roads of northern Norway.
August Jensen, a stage winner and second overall in 2017, first world class cyclist from northern Norway before the coming of age of Leknessund, is now with Human Powered Health along with Kristian Aasvold who came fifth overall in the 2021 Arctic Race of Norway. TotalEnergies features the inexhaustible Edvald Boasson Hagen who hasn’t said his last word on a bike yet.

The Arctic Race of Norway is back on the road to the North Cape after an edition spent below the Arctic Circle. The northernmost race in the world, which has revealed the talents of youngsters such as Mathieu Van der Poel and Andreas Leknessund, is also focusing on youth with its selection. Trinity Racing and Conti Groupama – FDJ are two of the teams that are shaping the champions of tomorrow. Tom Pidcock, winner of the Alpe d’Huez, Olympic mountain bike champion and cyclo-cross world champion, rode for the British team. Young French talents Paul Penhoët, Lenny Martinez and Romain Grégoire use to race for the French team.
