Lampre-Merida’s Slovenian rider conquered his career’s highlight at Giro d’Italia.
Jan Polanc’s bravery was rewarded in Giro d’Italia’s stage 5 (La Spezia – Abetone 152 Km), where the Polish young rider equipped with Northwave Extreme Tech Plus shoes, finalized a long escape, preceding Sylvain Chavanel (IAM Cycling) and Fabio Aru (Astana) on the finish line. Alberto Contador (Tinkoff-Saxo), fourth, is the new overall leader.
Another Northwave’s athlete, Colombian Darwin Atapuma (BMC Racing), entered the day’s top-10, crossing the line in tenth place.
