Second success in the “Corsa Rosa” for Lampre-Merida’s riders equipped with Extreme Tech Plus
After the stage-win claimed by Slovenian Jan Polanc, on Wednesday May 13th, another Lampre-Merida’s athlete, Italian Diego Ulissi, clinched victory in the stage 7 (Grosseto – Fiuggi 264 Km), on Friday May 15th.
The 25-year-old from Tuscany preceded Juan José Lobato (Movistar) and Simon Gerrans (Orica-GreenEDGE) in a bunch sprint.
Northwave’s athletes also in the spotlight at Bayern Rundfahrt in Germany. After the stage 3 (Selb – Ebern 205,9 Km), won by Irish Sam Bennett (Bora Argon 18) ahead of Nacer Bouhanni (Cofidis) and Ramunas Navardauskas (Cannondale-Garmin), Italian Simone Antonini wore the KOM jersey, whilst his Wanty Groupe Gobert team conquered the leadership in the Team Classification.
