LottoNL-Jumbo’s Belgian claimed his second career podium in the Monument after an impressive performance with Infinito CV
Belgian Sep Vanmarcke (Team LottoNL-Jumbo) rode impressively his Bianchi Infinito CV at the 100th Tour of Flanders, taking third in Oudernaarde after 255,9 km on Sunday April 3rd, and securing his second career podium in the race after taking 3rd two years ago. Vanmarcke completed a World Class podium, stepping up aside the winner, World Champion Peter Sagan, and Fabian Cancellara.
Vanmarcke looked determined to deliver a big performance since early on in the race started from Bruges, and did not let a puncture and a crash affect his chances in the decisive moments. When World Champion Sagan accelerated on the Kruisberg cobbled slope, with 30 km to go, Vanmarcke and Michal Kwiatkowski were the only two riders able to react. The Slovakian dug deep again on the last “hellingen”, the Patersberg, and LottoNL-Jumbo’s Belgian put on an exciting chase along with Cancellara, eventually crossing the line 28 seconds after the winner.
VANMARCKE-INFINITO CV: WHAT A FEELING
Vanmarcke enjoyed again his feeling with Bianchi Infinito CV, the innovative endurance model engineered by Bianchi with Countervail vibration cancelling technology, the integrated system that immediately cancels road vibrations while reducing the rider’s muscle fatigue and increasing control. “Infinito CV is definitely the perfect bike for the Classics. It worked really well today on the cobbles sections and it helps to make the difference thanks to Countervail. I look forward to use it again next Sunday at Paris-Roubaix”, Vanmarcke said after the finish.
