MODOLO GOES FOR GLORY IN THE SPRINTERS’ STAGES
After claiming his first seasonal wins in Turkey, as it happened in 2015, Sacha Modolo will be Lampre-Merida’s man for the bunch sprints, supported by lead-up man Roberto Ferrari. Diego Ulissi and Przemyslaw Niemiec will lead the team in the mountain stages, whilst Italy’s Valerio Conti, Manuele Mori, Simone Petilli, Belarussian Ilia Koshevoy and Slovenian Matej Mohoric will round out the line-up of the only Italian World Tour team.

TWO MORE CARDS FOR NORTHWAVE: PELUCCHI AND NAVARDAUSKAS
Among Sacha Modolo and Diego Ulissi’s opponents in the bunch sprints and in the puncheurs’ stages, there will be two more Northwave’s athletes, IAM Cycling’s sprinter, Matteo Pelucchi, hoping to claim his first Giro d’Italia win, and the 2015 Road World Championships bronze medallist, Lithuanian Ramunas Navardauskas (Cannondale), already a stage winner at the Corsa Rosa in Vajont back in 2013.

In addition, four more riders equipped by the Italian brand will take part in the Giro d’Italia, Fabio Sabatini (Etixx-QuickStep), Italian Manuel Senni (BMC Racing), Aussie Leigh Howard (IAM Cycling) and the Spaniard Ruben Plaza (Orica-GreenEDGE), stage winner in the 2015 edition of both Tour de France and Vuelta a Espana.

PINK DREAMS WITH NORTHWAVE EXTREME
Extreme are the new top-range road shoes designed by Northwave. Characterized by a reflective silver look, Extreme adds to an unmistakable appearance an unprecedented visibility even in low-light situations. The evolution of the Extreme Tech Plus shoes, Extreme ensures the best power transmission with its unidirectional carbon sole, compatible with the special NW-Speedplay adaptor, leading to the lowest stack height between foot and pedal.

The upper, designed with Northwave Biomap technology to make it compatible to every foot’s shape, is realized with a special light microfiber. The integrated heel with interior directional fiber material provides perfect stability while pushing on pedals, keeping the foot in position with no slippings, while Northwave added a further power strap to the double SLW2 rotor, in order to guarantee a more adherent and precise fit even for those with slimmer feet.
