One-Two in Bad Säckingen with Flückiger and Marotte

Radon Factory XC Team athlete claimed a prestigious win in MTB Bundesliga’s opening round (HC) ahead of the Cannondale’s Frenchman. Focus XC Team solid in Nals with Indergand e Vogel


Mathias Flückiger and Maxime Marotte gave a wonderful one-two in MTB Bundesliga’s opening round (HC category), in Bad Säckingen (Germany), on Sunday April 9th. The Team Swiss rider dominated his opponents preceding by 41 seconds the Cannondale Factory Racing Frenchman, while Jordan Sarrou completed the podium 1’07” behind the winner.

Also in the top-10 in the Men’s category, Manuel Fumic (Cannondale Factory Racing) and Fabian Giger (Kross Racing Team), seventh and ninth respectively, while in the Women’s race, home favorite Sabine Spitz finished fifth, Kathrin Stirnemann (Radon Factory XC Team) ninth and UCI World’s #1 Jolanda Neff (Kross Racing Team) tenth, as Ukrainian Yana Belomoina claimed the win.

FOCUS XC SOLID IN NALS WITH INDERGAND AND VOGEL
The riders Focus XC Team, were in the spotlight in the Marlene Südtirol Sunshine Race, in Nals (Northern Italy), Internazionali d’Italia Series’ stage 4.

After the wonderful solo win at Montichiari’s Trofeo Delcar, Swiss Linda Indergand claimed the second place in the Open Women race behind the winner, Norwegian Gunn-Rita Dahle. Third place for Austrian Elisabeth Osl (Ghost Factory Team), equipped with Extreme XC as well, as Tanja Zakelj (Unior Tools Team), fifth, Barbara Benko (Focus XC Team), sixth, and Alexandra Engen (Ghost Factory Team), eighth.

Florian Vogel, finished third in the Open Men category behind a Bianchi Countervail’s duo with Marco Aurelio Fontana winner ahead of teammate Stephane Tempier. Two more Northwave’s riders entered the day’s top-10, Andrea Tiberi (Team NOB Selle Italia) and Marcel Guerrini (Focus XC Team), seventh and ninth respectively on Nals’ finish line.
