Isabeau Courdurier in action in Enduro World Series’ round 2
After Cécile Ravanel in Rotorua (New Zealand), Isabeau Courdurier in Derby (Tasmania, Australia): Northwave riders confirmed to be at the top of Enduro World Series’ Women category, claiming a wonderful one-two in the round 2, on Saturday 8th and Sunday April 9th.
Like in the opening round, rain and mud characterized the Tasmanian event won by Team SUNN’s 23-year-old rider, at her first success in the most important Enduro challenge in the World. Behind the winner, 2016 season’s queen Ravanel (Commencal Vallnord Enduro Team) finished second, whilst Ines Thoma completed the day’s podium.
“I was not expecting this after Rotorua – Isabeau Courdurier explained – I’ve been sick and today I was feeling quite good but I was thinking just ride calm, because I’m not used to riding in the wet but I just kept calm and chose some nice lines and it worked. It cannot be better than this”.
Cécile Ravanel maintained the overall leadership with 750 points ahead of Ines Thoma (670 points) and Katy Wilson (580 points).
