The Brit squad dominated Tour of the Alps’ stage 3 that started in Villabassa. Pozzovivo completed the day’s podium
Team Sky’s strong forcing knocked out the opponents in Tour of the Alps’ stage 3 (Villabassa – Funes 137,5). Mikel Landa controlled Domenico Pozzovivo before Geraint Thomas’ attempt in the last kilometer. The Welsh rider caught the two escapees and launched the decisive attack claiming a strong success and the overall leader’s jersey. Mikel Landa was the runner-up, third place for Pozzovivo at 4″.
