Nanning, 20th October – Our local rider found his chance when Silvan Dillier(BMC) launched the attack around 30 kilometer. The 3-man breakaway once lead 4 and half minutes in front of the peloton. They were caught until the last 4 kilometer to go.
“I felt happy, thanks to the Philippe, our sports director for giving me this chance to join in the breakaway. I had done my best today. I will take one or two days to recover, and hopefully have another try in the following days.”
It’s not only a special moment for Mei-Yin, but also a special moment for all the fans at the finish in Nanning, the capital of Guangxi, where crowds and hobby riders cheering for our Chinese hero. Tomorrow will be another fast and furious day, a 125.3 km criterium stage in Nanning, expected to be a stage for sprinters!
