The main off-road Continental event will be organized in Silvelle di Trebaseleghe, in Padua nearby on November 2019
The U.E.C. (Union Europeenne de Cyclisme) officially announced that Silvelle di Trebaseleghe (Padua, Italy) will organize the 2019 Cyclocross European Championships. For the second time in the history, an Italian location will host the main CX continental competition, after Lucca (Tuscany) in 2011. This time will be the turn of Veneto, under the organization of A.S.D. Silvellese. The competition will be held on November 2019.
Hosting the European Champs, Silvelle (a small town in Padua nearby) marks another milestone in its history, closely tied to cyclocross superstars souvenirs, such as Vito di Tano, Luca Bramati, Adrie Van der Poel and Sven Nys. “Silvelle was not a random choice, being a place where the history of this discipline has been written” UEC President Rocco Cattaneo explained.” Europe is the cyclocross’ homeland and we’ll live strong days and top-class races In Silvelle. The enthusiasm of Italian fans will be the key of success.”
