The Italian National Champion enjoyed his fourth seasonal win, conquering the overall leadership of the Mastercross challenge on Saturday December 9th, at Trofeo Città di Gorizia, Mastercross’ stage 4, repeating the success conquered yesterday at Ciclocross del Ponte – both International races.
Equipped by Northwave with new Ghost XC shoes, Skeleton gloves and Extreme Tech Plus socks, the 22-year-old Italian National Champion of Selle Italia Guerciotti Team preceded in the final sprint German National Champion Marcel Meisen, while Marco Aurelio Fontana finished third at 2’46”. Bertolini’s teammates, Jakob Dorigoni and Stefano Sala, placed ninth and tenth, respectively.
Bertolini took over the Mastercross overall leadership with 105 points, overtaking Jakob Dorigoni (93) and Cristian Cominelli (84) with one stage to go, scheduled on January 21st, 2018 in Vittorio Veneto.
