PARIS-NICE 2018 STAGE 2: GROENEWEGEN’S SHOW OF STRENGTH IN VIERZON

Vierzon, Monday, March 5th 2018– Dutchman Dylan Groenewegen overpowered the other leading sprinters of the season to snatch his first stage win on Paris-Nice on Vierzon on Monday. The Lotto-Jumbo fast man easily upstaged Elia Viviani to equal the Italian’s tally of five victories this season. Germany’s Andre Greipel was third ahead of compatriot Phil Bauhaus and overall leader Arnaud Demare, who retained his leader’s yellow and white jersey. The Frenchman leads compatriot Julian Alaphilippe by 10 seconds overall.
