Team LottoNL-Jumbo’s New Zealander rode to third on Sarnano Sassotetto’s uphill finish on Saturday, March 10th
Team LottoNL-Jumbo stepped on the Tirreno-Adriatico’s podium again on Saturday, March 10th. George Bennett was third in the stage 4, 219 km from Foligno to Sarnano (Italy) on Saturday, March 10th. The day after Primoz Roglic’s solo win in Trevi, the Dutch team fought for the stage-win once again with the New Zealander, able to bridge the gap over the race leaders on the Sassotetto slopes, in the late race, and then get to the finish line in the wake of Mikel Landa and Rafal Majka.
Bennett gave Team LottoNL-Jumbo their 17th seasonal podium including seven wins, six runner-up spots and four third places.
