The World Champion claimed the first Swiss Bike Cup’s seasonal win preceding Alessandra Keller that retained the overall lead. In the men’s race, Reto Indergand placed second.
After breaking the ice in Mountain Bike World Cup, by winning the stage 2 in Albstadt, Germany, Jolanda Neff celebrated her first success in 2018 Swiss Bike Cup, grabbing the win in the round 4 in Gränichen (Switzerland), on Sunday June 3rd.
In the HC event, the World Champion savored victory in the home circuit in her own way, smashing opponents with an impressive progression. Behind Neff, Alessandra Keller (Thömus/RN Racing) completed the Northwave one-two with a valuable second place, maintaining the overall leadership. German Elisabeth Brandau finished third.
Northwave actually occupies then whole GC top-3: Keller leads with 360 points ahead of Frei (260) and Neff (242).
Northwave took the podium in the men’s race as well thanks to Team BMC MountainBike’s Reto Indergand, runner-up behind teammate Lars Forster. Andri Frischknecht completed the day’s podium preceding Northwave’s Mathias Flückiger (Thömus/RN Racing). Forster leads the overall standings with 315 points ahead of Indergand (285) and Flückiger (283).
