Last year’s Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins will miss the upcoming 2013 Tour. It was announced on the Sky Team’s website. He’s been suffering a pulmonary infection which was discovered when he had to quit the Giro as well as a knee injury. He’s not up to speed on his training and not ready for the Tour de France in part because of the inflammation of his knee.
Wiggins said he absolutely wants to be there for his team and for his supporter but it’s not going to happen. He’s going to concentrate on other objectives for the end of the season.
