Change is good, also to the great champions. Norwegian Alexander Kristoff will face the new season with this belief: a new team, UAE Emirates, the European Champion jersey conquered last summer and now in pursuit of the seasonal goals.
Kristoff is the winner of two monument Classics, Milan-Sanremo (2014) and Ronde Van Vlaanderen (2015), the 30-year-old Norwegian is a cycling rstar at the peak of his career. With his own Extreme RR – characterized by a livery inspired to the European Champion jersey – Kristoff will look to add to a 65-win career tally.
A fast and powerful rider, Kristoff suddenly rose to international glory with the unexpected triumph at 2014 Milan-Sanremo (“the best day of my career: I hope to win it again one day, but I think I will never get that same feeling again”), establishing himself among the top Classics contenders in the following seasons.
In its history, Northwave has shared unforgettable triumphs in the cobbles Classics with great champions such as Tom Boonen, Fabian Cancellara and Philippe Gilbert.
