The sponsor of his new team will be Polartec-Kometa. It will be the development team for Trek-Segafredo.
As owner of the new team of junior and U23 riders, Contador is hoping to make World Tour level. They had a training camp in Tucson, AZ in early November.
Helping to manage the team with him will be his older brother, Ivan Basso, Jesus Hernandez and Dario Andriotto. Only four of the eleven riders at this point in time are from Spain.
Polartec has sponsored other cycling teams such as Rapha and Castelli. There is a three year contract with both Polartec and Kometa.
