Team Argos Shimano has rounded out its pre-selection for the Tour de France. These are the riders selected:
Marcel Kittel, Simon Geschke, Johannes Frohlinger, Patrick Gretsch, Tom Veelers, Koen de Kort, Albert Timmer, Roy Curvers, Tom Stansnijder, Alexandre Geniez, Yann Huguet, Thierry Hupond, Mathieu Sprick and Bert de Backer.
John Degenkolb is not on the list. He’s had a busy spring season and the Tour will be too much for a 22 year old at this point. He will be focusing on the Olympics, Vuelta and World Championships. The Tour will have to wait until next year where he hopes to wear the green jersey.
Team Argos-Shimano will announce the final roster on June 19.
