Armstrong is taking inspiration from President Bill Clinton.
He was interviewed by Texas Monthly: “Eventually people forgive, forget and only remember the good things you’ve done”.
He said it will be hard work. He said Clinton “is a hero of mine. He’s a tough guy, he’s smart, surrounded himself with good people. And 10 years later, he’s president of the world. It can be done.”
He also said the stain of cheating will never go away. All his kids will know about it. He’ll do the best he can. He said that after the Oprah interview “it was a blood bath”. But he feels it had to happen so he could begin to turn it around.
Anyone who watched the Golden Globes, saw Bill Clinton get a standing ovation when he walked on stage to present the movie “Lincoln”.
