Benoît Cosnefroy wins Stage 2 and General Classification of the Tour des Alpes-Maritimes

Benoît Cosnefroy: “It’s a perfect day”

“It was a very contested sprint, but I had confidence in myself, I felt good in the final stretch. I was at the back of the pack, and Aurélien Paret-Peintre did an excellent job of leading me to the front, and we finished first and second. I believed in it right to the end, I didn’t back down. Additionally, I won the general classification, so it’s a perfect day. We always manage to do great things with a strong team effort.”
