The Dutch World Tour team presented the roster for the new season in the Jumbo’s headoffice in Veghel (Netherlands)

Team LottoNL-Jumbo and Bianchi are ready to tackle the 2018 season with high ambitions to repeat the good results of this year. Dylan Groenewegen for the bunch sprints at Tour de France, where Steven Kruijswijk will try to climb the GC, supported by stage hunter Primoz Roglic and Robert Gesink. The latter will also aim for a stage win at 2018 Giro, as well as Lars Boom at Tour de France, after the Spring classics campaign. Newcomer Danny Van Poppel will be Team LottoNL-Jumbo’s fast wheel for Giro d’Italia and Vuelta a Espana sprints.
Equipped with four models featuring Bianchi’s exclusive Countervail® vibration-cancelling technology, the World Tour Dutch team presented the new season’s riders, staff and goals in Jumbo’s headoffice in Veghel (Netherlands) on Friday, December 22nd. The Team LottoNL-Jumbo will make their seasonal debut at Tour Down Under in Australia on January 16th-21st.

The feeling between Primoz Roglic and Lars Boom with the Bianchi Countervail family’s bikes is well-known. Both the riders spent flattering words about Aquila CV and Oltre XR4 respectively. “Aquila CV is a really superfast bike. Thanks to the Countervail you have some more energy and more control of the bike” Roglic explains. “Oltre XR4 is a really aero and fast bike. Countervail makes sure you can stay for really long time in aero position, so you can go faster in a good position” Boom adds.

Richard Plugge is the General Manager. Merijn Zeeman as Sportive Director will be responsible for the technical aspects and Nico Verhoeven as Race Director will be responsible for the strategy and tactics in the races. The coaches are Mathieu Heijboer, Jan Boven, Sierk-Jan De Haan, Addy Engels, Frans Maassen, Grischa Niermann.
