He had come close in Primiero/S. Martino di Castrozza, he finished up the job in Lana. After finishing stage 1 in second place, Pello Bilbao (Bahrain-Victorious) enjoyed a reduced sprint win on the second day of the 2022 Tour of the Alps, 154,1 Km from Primiero/S. Martino di Castrozza to Lana, and took over the Green leader’s jersey from Geoffrey Bouchard (AG2R-Citroen). In Lana, Pello Bilbao outpaced Romain Bardet (Team DSM) and Attila Valter (Groupama-FDJ), second and third also in the general classification respectively.
