Campenaerts Gives Team LottoNL-Jumbo First Win of Season at Vuelta a Andalucia

Volta ao Algarve: Roglic new leader after the third place in the stage against the clock

Team LottoNL-Jumbo lived a really special day in the Iberian Peninsula, thanks to their riders’ skills and Bianchi Aquila CV’s advantages in the ITT race. Victor Campenaerts gave the Dutch team the first success in the 2017 season, topping Vuelta a Andalucia Ruta Ciclista Del Sol’s stage 3, a 12-km ITT from Lucena to Córdoba (Spain) in 14:55. Belgian National champion and UEC ITT European Championships’ silver medallist in 2016, Campenaerts was one second faster than Alejandro Valverde and seven than Alberto Contador. Team LottoNL-Jumbo’s Martijn Keizer finished 13th with a 35-second gap.

VOLTA AO ALGARVE: ROGLIC TAKES LEAD
The ITT Slovenian champion Primoz Roglic (Team LottoNL-Jumbo) is the new leader of the 43rd Volta ao Algarve em Bicicleta in Portugal. Runner-up in the second stage, the Slovenian placed third with Aquila CV in the stage 3, a 18 km ITT with start and finish in Sagres, with a 5-second gap from Jonathan Castroviejo and one second behind Tony Martin. Roglic’s teammate Lars Boom closed fifth. Roglic leads the GC in 9:36:22, with a 22-second advantage on Michal Kwiatkowski and 36 on Jonathan Castroviejo.
