Michael Rasmussen is returning to bicycle racing this year.  His new team is Christina Watches.  They have announced a new sponsor, Danske Hoteller A/S.  Rasmussen wants to race the August Tour of Denmark but the Danish Cycling Federation is opposed to his being there.

Lance Armstrong is participating in his last international cycling race at the Tour Down Under this week.  He’s 39 years old.  He said he’s changed the approach to the sport and has done his best.  He’s not riding to compete but more to say adieu to the sport.

Team Radio Shack unveiled its 2011 team jersey today.  They’ll be racing in the new jerseys beginning next week at the Tour Down Under in Australia.

Stephen Auge has retired from racing and will now be the new Director Sportif of the Cofidis team.
