The King of the Tour got off to a great start with the Herald Sun Tour-a fantastic win.

Chris Froome, the king of the 2013 and 2015 editions of the Tour de France chose to get his season off to a good start. He immediately scored his first victory in his first race (the Herald Sun Tour, Australia 3-7 February), confirming that his is not merely one of those champions who only makes it to the front or onto the podium just a few times a year; he is a real rider who, when he races, does so to win, honoring the race and the jersey he’s wearing to the fullest while firing up the crowds. As always, Froome battled it out on the road and shined on the podium in his Sidi Wire shoes, once again proving why they are the top models in the Sidi Sport collection.
Even though it’s only February and a short stage race in Australia, Chris Froome has already launched an important signal and above all he made a great impression, starting in the first stage, when, with the gesture of a true champion and gentleman, he gave the win to his ever faithful team mate Peter Kennaugh. Then in the fourth, decisive stage in the Herald Sun Tour, on the final ascent to the finish line on the summit at Arthur Seat, Froome hit the turbo button and broke off from everyone to go on and capture his first season bulls-eye. This isn’t a victory that will leave a significant mark in the history of a champion as important as Froome, but it was a good performance that built confidence and morale. The long chase has started for the yellow jersey and the podium in Paris, and adversaries have been warned. Froome’s next engagement will be the Paris-Nice.
