Felline won at “Coppi e Bartali”
Gavazzi placed second winning the field sprint in the first stage.
Team Androni Giocattoli-Venezuela, equipped with Bianchi Sempre Pro bikes, clinched a double at Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali’s stage 1a, 99,5 km in Gatteo (Central Italy) on Wednesday, March 20th.
Fabio Felline took his first seasonal victory, preceding teammate Mattia Gavazzi, winner of the Tour de San Luis’ final stage on January 27th.
Felline rewarded Androni Giocattoli-Venezuela’s hard work, trying a solo kick with 1,5 km to go and crossing the finish-line just ahead of Gavazzi, winner of the bunch sprint, both raising up their arms.
