Florida Doctor/Lance Fan Sentenced After Doping Threats

72 year old retired Florida urologist Gerrit Keats was sentenced to three years probation last week.  He threatened to kill Travis Tygart, US ADA head, after he stripped Lance Armstrong of his Tour de France titles.

Dr. Keats pleaded guilty and has to serve 540 hours of community service and pay a fine of $5,000.

He had emailed Tygart:  “Travis Tygart is a …pig who should be nailed to a tree and skinned whole he watches his toady staff and filthy children being castrated…The greatest service I could do to mankind is kill”.

Tygart as usual testified that he and his children were afraid and would run and hide in their house. Tygart lives in Colorado and Dr. Keats in Florida.
