Former Armstrong Teammates to be Suspended at End of Season

Hincapie, Vandevelde, Leipheimer and Zabriske who testified against Armstrong and admitted to having doped during their careers will be suspended at the end of the season for 6 months by USADA.

If things go normally, Armstrong will be heard by Nov. 22 by a 3 person arbitration committee. The verdict will be appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne, Switzerland). Lance is accused to have used EPO, blood transfusions, testosterone, and cortisone-growth hormone, and have also pushed other runners  to dope. Despite the numerous accusations that marred his career, including publicly issued by former teammates Floyd Landis and Tyler Hamilton, Armstrong has never been found guilty of doping.

Following the confession of Landis, the winner who lost the 2006 Tour de France, the U.S. federal court had launched a broad investigation in spring 2010, led by agent Jeff Novitzky, who had dropped notably the queen of sprint Marion Jones. But the investigation was abandoned in February. Because of this procedure, Armstrong can no longer participate in triathlons, his new (old) sport. Armstrong believes that the USADA procedure is based on “baseless” charges and unsuccessfully sought the dismissal of charges.
