According to AP, Greg LeMond has said that the president of the UCI can’t stay ont he job while being investigated for links between the UCI and Armstrong’s doping case. LeMond says he would be willing to run cycling in the meantime. “I would love to be part of the process of change, and if that means as interim president, then I would be willing to do that. I said if we can’t find anyone more qualified, I will do whatever I can to help change the sport.” Greg is now “officially” the only American to have won the Tour de France since both Floyd Landis and Lance Armstrong were stripped of their titles.
