The Spanish legal system has decided to reinstate the 2005 Vuelta d’Espana cycling title to Roberto Heras. They’ve annuled the sanction and have aligned with the tribunal in Castilla and Leon because of irregularities in the analysis of the samples. The samples were not transmitted within the required 24 hour period but took 40 hours and were at room temperature. It’s been a long seven years waiting. Heras had already ended his cycling career after the sanction.
