A doping scandal for every country this week.
The husband of Jeannie Longo has been arrested, based on testimony by American former cyclist, current drug trafficker Joe Papp. Husband Patrice Ciprelli supposedly bought Chinese EPO in 2007.
According to L’Equipe, the gendarmerie has proof of 5 suspicious overseas purchases by Ciprelli. Two in 2010 and three in 2011. They also have two 500 euro notes with Ciprelli’s bank account number written on them.
