The show is enormous. It’s now two floors of the Sands Convention Center and it’s overwhelming.
Besides all the gear, the show is the place to see and be seen.
Besides promoting his line of bikes, Mario Cipollini was on hand to sign autographs as well as add some pizazz.
After he and his entourage walked by, a woman nearby asked “Is that Mario Cipollini?!” When I said yes, she exclaimed, “I have to get a photo of his butt” and went running off after him with her cellphone leading the way. Her bewildered male friend just stood there perplexed.
Drew Scott was at Hincapie Sports in spirit along with their new line.
Footbalance first scans and measures your feet.
Then a foot pad is selected and warmed so it will conform to your foot.
It’s all scientific and computerized and works great.
Surly Bikes showed off their huge tires.
Clif Bar was really popular with its homey style snack bar and lots of tasty samples.
My personal favorite was Marc Pro. They’ve designed a pulsing device that helps the blood to start flowing again and get your body on the road to recovery faster. They outfit the Denver Broncos, Colorado Avalance and Colorado Rockies. It really helped my aching shoulders and feet.
