19 year old Bob Jungels has renewed his U23 National TT Title by being the fastest rider on the soaking wet course in Tétange, beating the winner with the elite riders by one minute. Jungels’ LEOPARD TREK team mates Pit Schlechter and Alex Kirsch came in second and fourth position.
Jungels finished the mostly flat 26 km course in 34:02, beating Ben Gastauer, the rider of the WorldTour team AG2R-La Mondiale, by one minute. Gastauer is the winner in the group of the elite riders. Pit Schlechter finished in second, 1:48 behind Jungels, and Tom Thill (Team Differdage) third (2:05 behind Jungels).
