Marcel Kittel, edged Australia’s Mark Renshaw in the bunch sprint. Belgium’s Jurgen Roelandts come in third. It is the seventh victory of the Team Argos-Shimano rider this season. Mark Cavendish won the general classification, his first ever stage race victory.
The last stage was of no danger for the lead of Cavendish. The peloton cruised on roads through the woods in the East part of Brabant making the wind an easy factor. During the stage of 182 kilometres between Schijndel and Boxtel a few echelons formed but the riders of Team Sky and Team Argos-Shimano controlled the race perfectly and prepared a bunch sprint.
Team Argos-Shimano had a very successful Ster ZLM Toer. Besides todays stage victory of Marcel Kittel, his teammate Koen de Kort earned a seventh place in the overall standings. Tom Dumoulin was eleventh.
